The Physical Postures (Asanas)
We want to encourage you to try a variety of different types of yoga to discover what type is best for you. Here’s what we offer at Yoga House: Power, Yin, Beginner’s, Hot, Restorative, Vinyasa and Meditation.
Practicing asanas, breathing exercises and meditation make you healthier in body, mind and spirit as well as improve muscle tone, flexibility, strength and stamina. We offer the space for you to explore what style works best for you on your journey towards wellness.
The Mind
In all forms of yoga, the ever-active mind is quieted through the discipline of practice. Possible benefits include decreased: stress, depression, anxiety and more. The styles of yoga that we offer help create a calm, peaceful awareness that provide a safe place for meditation and self-study.
The Spiritual
As we strengthen the body and calm the mind, we open ourselves up for a transformational experience. Originally, yoga was intended to be a tool to forget the body’s consciousness, quiet the mind and transcend our limitations, allowing us the freedom to become closer to something greater than ourselves. Yoga works from the inside out and you’ll feel it happening. All you have to do is keep showing up.
Our Community
The Yoga House has created a unique and welcoming community where everyone knows your name. Come in and unroll your mat with us today. It is always an honor when you choose Yoga House/Hot Yoga House as your home for OM.
Our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course is based on the eight limbs of yoga, not just on the Asana practice. There is a lot of emphasis placed on Yamas, Niyamas, Pranayama, pratyahara, meditation techniques and mindfulness too. This comprehensive curriculum covers Yoga philosophy based on the Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, yogic lifestyle and ethics, anatomy and physiology for yoga teachers and practitioners, among other topics related to the practice of cultivating a balanced life. We are unorthodox and open in our approach towards yoga. We teach you that yoga is for OFF the mat, we just USE the mat to experience. We strongly encourage you to bring your own creativity, intuition and spiritual experiences into your teaching styles. We will offer and sequence to help you feel more confident, but encourage each of you to be unique.
At the end of the course you will be ready to practice and teach a House hatha yoga class and also to create your own flow sequences with various themes.
You will also have the benefit of exposure to other styles of asana practice, including Yin and restorative yoga, in order to develop your experience and knowledge of other yoga traditions and styles during the course.

I went to my first hot yoga class to find something I could add to my running regimen in 2006. When I walked into class I knew it was different. I felt something in me begin to stir after ONE CLASS. After that, I worked hot yoga into my daily life, I wasn’t sure what was changing, I just knew something was happening. Later I learned that what woo'ed me was the pure physical challenge of this 90 minute yoga class but what I got was how to deal with life on and off the mat. It cleansed me from the inside out and helped me be my true authentic self. I wanted to share what I had learned and what I felt with others, that is why I became a certified, registered yoga teacher and why I opened my "brick and mortar" studio in 2008. In 2015 I closed that studio I felt it was time to pass the baton, to help others share their dream of owning a studio, so I have helped some other local studios find their "footing" BUT now so happy to be back in our neighborhood to share Yoga House again with our community. I am certified in the Barkan method www.BarkanMethod.com and registered with the Yoga Alliance as a E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. www.yogaalliance.org).I have done countless workshops and teacher trainings thru the years, and I am grateful to have learned so much. I bring humor, light heartedness, fun to the mat, and teach a simple but challenging class.
“You will initially come to yoga for the physical challenge of yoga, but what will keep you coming are the changes you will see and feel ......physically, mentally, and spiritually.”
